From the recording Rejoice And Be Merry
Rejoice and Be Merry is the Title Track, written and composed by John Rutter. It is a rousing Sacred song and the perfect Finale to this album.
It also features the gorgeous voice of Soprano, Ashley Knaack (Bio below). She sings the female solos and duets, and the female choral parts in Q Voices. She also happens to be the fiancée of my son, Danny, which is how I knew of Ashley's beautiful voice to begin with. I asked her if she would like to collaborate with me on this album, and fortunately for all of us, she said "Yes!" She's done an amazing job. I'm so happy I asked her to sing with me, and that she said "Yes!" when my son asked her to marry him. :)
Q Voices makes another appearance on this track. They are a group I have dubbed, "Quintessential Voices" ("Q Voices" for short). Many more songs are to come that will feature this group. In this case, it's a mixed septet as the choral parts required, but will be any number and combination of voices in the future. My concept for them is mostly a mixed a cappella vocal group that sings sacred and secular music with a jazz flavor. Look for them on future tracks and compositions.
Original published score of John Rutter.
